I read a good post by Dan Kimball today on Bill Maher's movie: Religulous. I have not seen it, but Dan has and gives thoughts on the documentary/commentary. I also appreciated some of the dialogue in the comments below.
I enjoyed his response and wish I would have the same one if I saw this movie. Knowing myself, I would have walked out feeling defeated and frustrated. I love his perspective on it though. I have a hard time watching any movie like this because it is so one-sided and has a specific agenda behind it. It should not be called a documentary but should be called propaganda. In 2000, I actually attended a Bill Maher live "comedy" show at George Washington University. We sat on the back row and I was certain we were the only conservative folks in the whole theater, and maybe even the only Christians. That's where my Bill Maher exposure started and basically that is where I wanted it to end. Maybe I will rent this someday and Lord willing, have the same perspective as Dan did. Thanks for sharing.
